This house proudly proclaims its age. On one of the gables is the date 1675. It still has its original stone-mullioned windows. It is remarkable that a house in the centre of town has avoided the fell hand of the renovator. Now it houses a café with an historic theme - not Stuart to match the house, but Victorian. The interior features aspidistras and 19th-century china, and you are served by waitresses in frilly white aprons and mob caps.
